EDUCATIONAL CAMPUS, HIGH SCHOOL, MIDDLE SCHOOL, DORMITORY (GSU53)

The educational complex/campus located in Güneysu county of Rize, is compromised of high school, middle school and dormitory and has various references to its designing site.

The structures of the local Karadeniz/Black Sea Architecture are positioned accordingly to the slope present on the site and therefore constructed on different levels and directions

(from each other). Creating a parallelism to such design features, the high school, middle school and dormitory of the educational complex are designed as independent structures

and positioned on different levels. Taking advantage of the level differences of the sloped terrain on the shore of Potomya Stream terraces are designed with subsidiary functions

such as gym and sanctuary on the ground level. The wooden and masonry materials used on the façades are materials prevailing in local Karadeniz/ Black Sea Architecture.
